01/15 - national holiday project evaluation

I think that throughout the majority of this project I have kept a close eye on the aspects of my work that could do with improvement. I allocated secondary research relevant to my ideas relating to the developed outcomes I was hoping to produce to, and then documenting any developments.
Looking through my sketchbook I can see that i did this to a certain extent through annotation but there is definitely room to push it further.

I think that there are less developments for individual images than there is for images I have created with intent to develop further. I now realise it would be better to focus solely on one or a set of images I have created instead of developing multiple images and ideas all at once. My independent analysis and annotations within my own work as well as research is thorough, but more emphasis on how I can improve my own work through said research is needed.I think that the developments through my drawings and observational studies are prominent and effective within my project work, however I think that my work would benefit if I introduced more techniques and media, or at least differ the media and techniques that I use. I also think my experimentations with shape and colour have not been as in depth as I had hoped prior to starting the project, with the focus on shape maybe not being as prominent as it is with colour. Overall, I think that the main focus for improvement is within my developments, and particularly making sure that the images I create are developed as much as possible. I enjoyed the process of this project extremely as not only was I able to choose the theme to focus on, but I felt able to create a spectrum of drawings that related specifically to my developments.
