artist research: nick iluzada

I am particularly interested in Iluzada's work as his style is extremely unique and considerably focused on colour and lines. I think that the images of people he has created are consistent within his style of work but are definitely adaptable and I think I can learn a lot from observing his drawing style. His colour palette is relatively soft yet bold and doesn't limit himself within each image he creates, something I think works especially well.  With illustrations commissioned for magazines as well as animation work developed from his previous works, the prominent flair within his work is something I hope to emulate within my own in the near future.
I really appreciate the use of simple colours throughout Iluzada's entire works, as they are especially neutral and not too overpowering. This is also relevant with his line work as in parts the complexity of the detail within some of his pieces is considerably high, and in others not at all. I think this is a good middle ground to elevate ideas from the image and portray the density of the messages as well as portraying his artistic abilities.
